As a Field Organizer for Community Impact, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to mobilize and engage diverse communities in Lake Forest Park. This role offers the opportunity to create impactful connections, lead grassroots initiatives, and drive measurable results. You will work closely with community leaders, volunteers, and organizational stakeholders to advance our mission and goals.
Roles/Duties:
- Develop and implement community outreach strategies to engage residents and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with local leaders, organizations, and partners to strengthen community networks.
- Coordinate and facilitate events, workshops, and meetings to promote awareness and participation.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support outreach initiatives.
- Collect, analyze, and report data on community engagement efforts to inform strategy adjustments.
- Represent the organization at community events and forums, serving as a liaison to amplify our mission.
- Maintain a consistent presence in assigned neighborhoods or communities to build trust and rapport.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, communications, public relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in community organizing, outreach, or similar roles.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in digital tools and platforms for community engagement (e.g., social media, CRM systems).
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for community events.
- Knowledge of the Lake Forest Park community landscape and its unique challenges is a plus.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish or another language) are highly desirable.
